The American Corner Yamoussoukro at INP-HB is designed to play a pioneering role in strengthening cultural ties between the people of the United States of America and the people of Côte d’Ivoire, through the promotion the American culture of innovation and creativity, and connection to people from different backgrounds in the West African region at large. In order to fully respond to people’s demand, in terms of education, the Corner is equipped so as to become a full-fledged Distance Learning Center. Most of the programs focus on topics such as democracy, human rights, good governance, terrorism, economy, health (HIV/AIDS), environment, society, culture and values, arms control, immigration and migration, etc. These topics are discussed during seminars, forums, conferences, learning events and meetings hosted by the Corner. During such events, participants are given an opportunity to have access to research materials and resources.
