Amepouh is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) which provides assistance to women living with HIV/AIDS in the West African country of Côte d’Ivoire (the Ivory Coast). Established on the 12th of January, 1998, by 8 women from a diverse range of associations throughout Côte d’Ivoire, the founders recognized the unique needs of women living with HIV/AIDS, and today cater to 622 members from a variety of different social backgrounds (widows, married women, divorcées, mothers, the employed, the unemployed and students) as well as their respective children, of which there are 682. AMEPOUH est une ONG de femmes vivant avec le VIH/Sida créée le 12 janvier 1998 par huit (08) femmes issues de diverses associations mixtes de la Côte d’Ivoire. Elle regroupe en son sein uniquement des femmes vivant avec le VIH/SIDA et compte à ce jour six cent vingt deux (622) membres issus de différentes couches sociales (veuves, femmes mariées, femmes divorcées, mères de familles, sans emploi, étudiantes, salariées…) et six cent quatre vingt deux (682) enfants.
